I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Huggies and Target. I received samples and a promotional item to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own.
Even though I should be, I am not ashamed to admit that I chose my obstretician based on the fancy hospital where she delivers and the related perks. For years prior to getting pregnant, I had heard about this hospital and the legendary lobster, steak and champagne dinner patients received and I decided I just HAD to give birth there. Because hey, if you are going to do something terribly painful and very scary, why not do it in style? (FYI I didn’t pay for this perk, the hospital is located in a town full of hedgefunders who keep the donations rolling in. And we ordinary people reap the benefits!)
Everything about the hospital feels premium so, when the nurses handed me my newborn baby in a Huggies Little Snugglers Diaper, I thought to myself “These must be some pretty good diapers. My baby will look faaahhhhbulous at the yacht club in these duds” and I made sure to clear the hospital drawer of all the Little Snugglers diapers before I got discharged.
I never thought I could get so excited about diapers but, when you spend 24 hours a day changing them, you start to notice things about diapers that you never noticed before, like the fact that the newborn-sized Huggies Little Snugglers come with a notch cut out so the diaper doesn’t rub up against my baby’s belly button. Or the flexible waistband that hugs my baby gently AND prevents blowouts. Also it’s always been a dream of mine to keep my kids protected by wrapping them in bubble wrap and Little Snugglers, with their GentleAbsorb Liner comprised of hundreds of tiny absorbent pillows, are the closest one parent can get to bubble wrap. These diapers are cottony-soft, inside and out, and pretty much make the diapers we previously used seem like sandpaper.
Even grandparents get excited about Little Snugglers diapers. My parents ooh and ahh over the modern technology of the wetness indicator (back in their day they used cloth diapers, what a nightmare), and I had forgotten how much newborns hate getting their diapers wet, so the wetness indicator definitely helps when I am trying to figure out why my newborn is crying.
Newborns, as you know, go through diapers like hotcakes and when I got home from the hospital I had to go straight to Target.com to replenish my stock of Huggies Little Snugglers. Despite the fact that these diapers feel premium, they are quite affordable with prices on Target.com starting at $8.99 for a Jumbo Pack and free shipping on orders of $50. The diapers I took from the hospital lasted for maybe a minute so I was very happy when my Target package arrived within a few days.
Every time I change my baby’s diaper, some 20 plus times a day, I keep thinking to myself I should have invested in a diaper company. I could be a millionaire! Or at least a thousandaire – anything to help cover the cost of all of these diapers would be greatly appreciated. Huggies must have read my mind because they have partnered with Target for a giveaway where entrants can win a year’s supply of free diapers! All you have to do is create a Target registry which includes Huggies Little Snugglers and Natural Care Wipes and upload the link to the Huggies Register Your Wish website.
New Huggies Little Snugglers diapers are available in grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide. They come in five sizes ranging from Preemie, up to 6 pounds, to size 3, 16 to 28 pounds. The suggested retail price is $11.99 for a Jumbo Pack and $22.99 for a Big Pack (diaper count varies based on diaper size).
