Chock full of heart healthy Omega-3s, salmon is a superfood and super easy to cook. This salmon recipe is a favorite in our home because the combination of soy sauce and maple syrup is salty, sweet and almost like teriyaki (only better!). Serve it up with Near East couscous and enjoy!
Prep Time: 5 min; Cook Time: 15 min
4 6-8 oz salmon fillets
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup maple syrup
Combine maple syrup and soy sauce in a bowl and place salmon fillets face down within mixture. Place in refrigator and let sit while preheating the oven to 450 degrees. Prepare baking pan by covering in tinfoil and greasing foil with a light layer of olive oil. Lay salmon fillets on foil, skin side down, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until salmon turns opaque and splits easily with a fork (we always take a look-see once the salmon has been in the oven for 10 minutes). Tip: for a stronger soy sauce and maple flavor, allow the salmon fillets to marinate an hour before baking.
