My wife and I were seeking P/T care for our newborn son and 4 year old daughter and found VFCC. After going through the entire process of phone and face-to-face interviews, then calling her references we were very pleased and signed up. We also provided her with a deposit, which would secure two spots. Four weeks later, we received a hand written letter from Brenda (no phone call) saying that she was cancelling our contract and refunding our deposit so she could enroll 2 full time children instead! Upon contacting her to find out why, she gave the above reason as well as the following:
1. My wife specified on the application that we would like to be notified of any issues that occur with our children. Brenda was confused by this statement and said she felt like we were questioning her and calling her dishonest.
2. Despite the fact that we were more than happy with Brenda and her day care, she said she got the feeling that we didn't like her and didn't want to bring our kids to her day care. She felt as if she was our last resort, when in actuality, she was at the top of our list.
3. After asking to change one of our requested days (from wed to thurs), Brenda agreed to the change, with no issue, but during this phone call said she was not happy with how we, "kept requesting to change days."
My wife and I were initially very happy with Brenda and Vice Family Day Care, but were beyond frustrated when she blindsided us by cancelling our agreement in out of greed and her lack of ability to speak up if there were issues! If the above so called concerns were real, they should've been voiced when they occured, rather than wasting our time!! My wife and I were Very frustrated with the way Brenda handled this situation, which showed a lack of communication, judgement, and professionalism!
