When my son Jason turned 1, my husband and I wanted to put him in day care. It was extremely difficult to find a place I felt comfortable leaving my baby and one willing to take him part time without paying full time prices. Luckily I was referred to Francesca's Nurturing Nest by a friend of the family. From the first conversation with Francesca, "Nonna", I felt as if she was family! Jason has been there for about a year and a half now and his younger brother will be joining him soon. The day care is inside her home on the lower level of her raised ranch. The backyard is a small playground dedicated to the children. The group is small, about 8-10 kids to 3 caregivers. My son used to be the baby, but is now one of the oldest. We refer to day care as "going to Nonna's house". The staff members are loving and caring. It's not a nursery school, but he is learning, creating and developing social skills. They also have fun days, such as pajama day, pasta day, hot dogs and fries, they celebrate birthdays, holidays, etc. The children do arts and crafts and bring home their work. Aside from having a Facebook page, the caregivers will send pictures and text messages showing the kids having a good time. I am very happy with our daycare and trust them completely with my little angels.
