Blue Bird had so many positives (cheery space, committed people), but also too many negatives (high staff turnover, lack of communication) for us to stay.
We loved the childcare workers who took care of our infant, but the faces changed too fast! Staff turnover was high in the months my son attended daycare here. Also problematic was the lack of communication about said turnover. There were new faces far too many days, and I had to constantly ask for names and introduce myself. The babies need stability, and the parents need to know who is taking care of their children. That said, my son was always taken care of well, and he was undoubtedly treated with love and thoughtfulness. I am not so confident that the workers were treated as well by their employer. Unfortunately, because I worried about the effect of ever-changing hands on my increasingly aware little boy, we took our son out of their care.
