• CluckCluck: Managing Child Care At Your Fingertips

Posted on July 16, 2014 by Stephens Family Daycare in Busy Parents, Crib Notes, Parenting.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of CluckCluckApp – the opinions are my own.

Times have changed since I used to babysit two decades ago. Back then, a neighborhood mom would call me using a rotary phone to ask if I was available to care for her child. Then I would walk nine miles in the snow to her house and get paid in quarters. Ok most of that is a lie, except the rotary phone part – we still had those when I was growing up.

And then along came CluckCluck, a really cool new app for busy parents that makes arranging and dealing with child care as easy as a click on your smart phone.

    Cluck Cluck Child Care App

The app has four main features that make modern-day child care management a breeze:

No More Phone Calls: CluckCluck lets you send an invitation to all your go-to sitters at once. No more texting or calling your entire roster to see who’s available which, let’s face it, makes me not want to bother half the time.
Digital Updates On The Go: While on the job, the sitter can access profiles you’ve set up for each of your children – I really like this feature because it’s a way of directing the sitters without seeming pushy. Plus, the sitter can send one-touch updates on your child’s activities, and include notes and photos, making real-time communication streamlined and centralized.
Easy Emergency Contact Access: Sitters have quick access to your family’s emergency contact info so, even if they are at the park with your child, they’ll have all the important numbers they need.
E-Payments: You can pay your sitter through the app so there’s no ATM rush on your way home.

Even if your sitter doesn’t have CluckCluck, you can share all information and emergency contacts from the app via email. And you are always in control of who can access information about each individual child: you can turn access on and off for sitters used only occasionally, or leave access on constantly for a grandparent or nanny who helps every day.

Most importantly, CluckCluck is easy to use and takes away some of the chaos of your day by making dealing with child care a cinch.  Download the app today but be warned that, now that arranging child care is so easy, your social life might get too active. We call those champagne problems.

How cool! I cannot believe the advancements in technology sometimes. I don’t currently live in the USA, but will save this for when I do.

Totally agree! Sometimes I won’t even order take out from a place I have to call – I would rather order on Seamless/Grub Hub. I am so lazy.
